Haven UMC to celebrate
women and human rights
Haven United Methodist Church, 107 Burroughs, plans to celebrate human rights and women's day at 11 a.m. Sunday. Mary Daves, of Grand Avenue UMC and active with the United Methodist Women and Church Women United, will speak on "Christians and Human Rights."
Daves has served as president of the Garland County Church Women United and as state president. She has been active in ecumenical activities, both in the state and nationally.

MBC pastor to be
MLK keynote speaker
The Rev. Billy R. Wilson, senior pastor of Greater Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, 401 Lacey St., will be the keynote speaker at the Martin Luther King Prayer Breakfast, at 10 a.m. Monday at the Hot Springs Convention Center following the Martin Luther King Jr. Day parade. Riley Wilson will introduce his dad. Ebenezer's choir will present the music.

musical extravaganza
HolyGhost Headquarters, 1900 Hobson Ave., will hold a musical extravaganza at 3 p.m. Sunday. The program will include singing and praise dancing. There will also be "all you can eat" chili for $5. Call Mathesisa Erby, 802-4740, for more information.
