ARKADELPHIA -- Two of Henderson State University's online master's programs have been named among the country's best for teaching and special education.
Henderson's Master of Science in Education programs in Technology Leadership and Educational Leadership were ranked fourth-best the country by GoGrad.org in its new list of the Best Master's in Teaching Programs.
Teachers who hold a master's degree earn an average of 10 percent more, according to the National Center for Education Statistics.
Henderson online master's program in Special Education was ranked 19th in the country in the same survey.
The list ranked programs based on the number of online graduate degrees available in a related subject area, graduate tuition, availability of academic and career counseling services, availability of job placement services and GoGrad peer-based value.
