Vapor Valley Questers from Hot Springs and Hot Springs Village recently had lunch and a presentation by Mike Pettey, owner of the Ohio Club. Pettey related the history of the 110-year-old Ohio Club building, its bar, the days of gambling and popularity with the gangsters who frequented Hot Springs in the 1930s and 1940s, and changes made throughout the years to the narrow building the club evolved from. The Arkansas state convention of Questers will be held in Hot Springs April 17-18 when women from around the state will learn more of how "Hot Springs' Past Enriches Our Future."
