Dear editor:
Well, well, well. Hooray for District 3 Director Becca Clark for sponsoring a proposed LGBT anti-discrimination ordinance for Hot Springs. Yes, there are some who may say this ordinance is not needed and unnecessary. I wonder if they would also say we don't need an ordinance protecting people due to their race, creed, color, sex, national origin, age, disability and/or marital status.
Too many times in the past we have seen prejudice and discrimination rear their ugly heads. In my opinion, it's better to be proactive, it's better to be safe than sorry.
