Herb program Thursday at Senior Center

Patti Muller will present "Growing and Drying Herbs" at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Vincent Hot Springs Senior Center, 210 Woodbine. Muller has been a guest speaker in the past at this center sharing her passion and love of gardening.

Muller's program will include tips to growing herbs and how to dry and preserve them. She will include partnering herbs with different foods, sharing some of her best recipes and herb blends.

In addition to her gardening skills, Muller is an avid photographer, cook, crafter and yard sale shopper.

REGARD meets tonight

REGARD will meet from 5-6 p.m. today in Congregation House of Israel Fellowship Hall, 300 Quapaw Ave. The program will be presented by Kai Coggin and Becca Clark.

Coggin

Coggin's talk is titled "Helping Others Manifest Equality." She will discuss the recently passed anti-discrimination policy. She is a former District Teacher of the Year turned full-time poet and author.

Clark

Clark joined the city board on Jan. 1, 2013. She managed clients and employees in the travel industry for more than 20 years and has a consulting company, Creative Convenience. Clark has been a member of the Sunrise Rotary Club and treasurer of the Business and Professional Women's Group. She is a member of the Women's Chamber of Commerce and Women in Networking,and a founder and president of the Inspiring Women Foundation. She served two terms on the Hot Springs Airport Advisory Committee.

REGARD is an organization with the mission: To build connections and cooperation; to promote understanding, appreciation, respect and fellowship; and to celebrate the richly diverse populations in Hot Springs and Garland County.
