Haven UMC to celebrate Women's Day
Haven United Methodist Church, 107 Burroughs, will celebrate Women's Day at 3 p.m. Sunday. The speaker will be Pastor Donnetta Frierson, pastor of New Life Christian Fellowship Church, in Malvern, along with her husband.
She and her husband have been married 31 years and have three children. Frierson has been a youth pastor, Sunday school teacher, perfected praise children's choir director, praise dancers team leader and vacation Bible school director. She is the administrative assistant to the Hot Springs School District superintendent.
Cottrell Chapel celebrates National Stewardess Day
Cottrell Chapel CME, 698 E. Grand Ave., will celebrate National Stewardess Day at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Minister Amelia Roy, of Visitor's Chapel AME Church.
Gethsemane MBC to hold Mission Day
The Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church, 120 Blake St., missionary department will hold their annual Mission Day Program at 3 p.m. Sunday. Guest speaker for the occasion will be first lady J'auan Gaylyn Lake, of Eureka Missionary Baptist Church, Hot Springs. All are welcome to attend.
St. Thomas Baptist to celebrate Women Day
St. Thomas Baptist Church, 347 Grove St., women ministry will be celebrating their annual Women Day at 3 p.m. Sunday. The theme for the event will be "May the Work I've Done Speak for Me." Minister Nikki Anderson will be the speaker. First lady Antonio Wilson will bring words of encouragement. The Greater Ebenezer Church choir will render selection. All are welcome to attend.
Angel Gabriel, New Unity to share pastor
Angel Gabriel COGIC, 155 Lemon St., and New Unity COGIC, 200 Gardner St., will both be led by Pastor Aaron Gordon. Sunday morning worship at Angel Gabriel will be at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. at New Unity.
Grand Avenue UMC to celebrate Pentecost
Grand Avenue United Methodist Church, 841 Quapaw Ave., will celebrate Pentecost with a reception in the church fellowship hall from 9-9:45 a.m. Sunday. The centerpiece will be a birthday cake in honor of the "birthday of the church." Pastor David Fleming will speak on "Can I Get A Witness?"
