Home Instead Senior Care recognizes caregiver

Home Instead Senior Care of Hot Springs has chosen Nadine Reynolds as the September 2015 CareGiver of the Month for providing exceptional in-home care services to the elderly. "Nadine's extraordinary gift of compassion and service above self can be seen in her relationship with one special lady who calls her friend," said Angela Dugger, Home Care consultant, in the release.

Reynolds's shared friendship with her client, Willena Lambert, is evident in the mutual admiration they have for each other. "Nadine isn't my sister, but I feel like she is. We have so much fun together," said Lambert. Confidently, Reynolds states, "We are a good fit!" Both ladies exchange warm smiles.

Both women find plenty to talk about during the day while Reynold provides companionship and attends to household chores for Lambert. Often, they swap stories about adventures they each have had over the years including, Reynolds's love for fishing and early days as a Patriot Guard Rider on her Honda VTX130; and Lambert's days with the Denver Philharmonic Choir and hilarious tales of being a house parent to 10 energetic young boys at the National Children's Home during the 1950s (now Hillcrest). The good 'ole days are every day for these ladies as they stroll down memory lane together.

Home Instead Senior Care provides nonmedical in-home care to individuals who want to continue living at home instead of moving to a care facility when living alone becomes too difficult. Services include companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, shopping, medication reminders, incidental transportation, and personal care and specialized Alzheimer's care.
