Clay Roots Beauty & Facial Boutique will be headquarters for Small Business Saturday in Cornerstone Marketplace from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Small Business Saturday is a registered trademark of American Express corporation and Clay Roots Beauty has joined forces with them to make this day a success for many locally owned businesses in Hot Springs.
Clay Roots will partner with an array of local businesses in Cornerstone Marketplace to offer some of their largest sidewalk sales of the year. Participating businesses in the strip include San Francisco Bread Co., Flowers & Home, LUXE, TCBY, Solutions Home Entertainment, Grow, Mattress King, Lara's Jewelry and NVU Boutique. Clay Roots will also host two visiting stores, RepliKitty Jewelry and Central Bark Pet Boutique, both of which will have products available to purchase throughout the day.
In addition to a variety of sales, several other local businesses in the area have donated items that will be raffled off hourly. Enter to win gifts or prizes from businesses, including Fat Bottomed Girls Cupcakes, Bathhouse Soapery & Caldarium, Boots & Butterflies, Hot Springs Nail Spa, A Lively Brew, Faith McCallister Photography, Mid-America Science Museum, and Jeans and Java.
Small Business Saturday is an American shopping holiday held on the Saturday after Thanksgiving during one of the busiest shopping periods of the year. First observed on Nov. 27, 2010, it is a counterpart to Black Friday and Cyber Monday, which features big-box retail and e-commerce stores respectively. By contrast, Small Business Saturday encourages holiday shoppers to patronize brick and mortar businesses that are small and local.
