Members of the Lake Hamilton Fire Department, LifeNet, Arkansas State Police and Diamondhead police work to remove a driver from his vehicle after an accident at 7:45 a.m. Friday on Highway 171 about a half mile east of the intersection with Highway 290 near Diamondhead. The driver was traveling east toward Malvern when he lost control of his vehicle, which left the roadway to the right and struck at least two trees before coming to rest in a culvert. The driver, who was not identified, was transported by ambulance to a local hospital.
