Lake Hamilton guard Dewayne Matlock on Thursday signs to play for the Royals of Ecclesia College in Springdale. Matlock was The Sentinel-Record's Garland County newcomer of the year as a sophomore at Mountain Pine, transferring to Lake Hamilton for his senior season. Matlock, an all-county honoree all three of his varsity years, hit 10 three-pointers during the first round of Lake Hamilton's Kameron Hale Invitational on Dec. 28. Joining Matlock at the ceremony were seated, from left, mother Constance Matlock and Ecclesia coach TK Smith standing, grandfather Johnny Lacy, Lake Hamilton coach Scotty Pennington and Lake Hamilton assistant Jeff Scott.
