Support group for moms of special needs adults
A moms support/booster club of special needs adults enrolled in First Step and or Abilities Unlimited Work programs is now forming. The first meeting will be held from 6:15-9 p.m. Sunday at Central Bowling Lanes. Bring your child to bowl for the Bowl Your Socks Off special at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $8.99 for two hours, price includes the shoe rental.
Share a drink and talk with other parents who want the best care for their disabled children. The systems are difficult to understand, but parents can learn from and encourage one another by sharing thoughts and experiences.

Vegetarian Supper Club meets Monday
Vegetarian Supper Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the fellowship hall of Seventh-day Adventist Church, 401 Weston Road. There will be a discussion on herbs, their health benefits for the human body and how they can best be used.
The club meets on the first Monday each month, September through May.
Attendees hear current health information, and get fellowship and vegetarian cuisine. Everyone is welcome, admission is free. Those who come should bring a vegetarian dish with the recipe, and a self-addressed envelope to receive the recipe collection for the evening. For information, call 760-1750.
