Michel Gutman of Sissy's Log Cabin named president of the Arkansas Jewelers Association

LITTLE ROCK -- Sissy's Log Cabin announced that Michel Gutman, store manager at its Pine Bluff location, has been named president of the Arkansas Jewelers Association, a nonprofit association promoting professionalism and high ethical standards of business practice in the jewelry trade.

Gutman has nearly 30 years experience in the jewelry business and has been at Sissy's Log Cabin since 2014. "It is his experience and dedication to the jewelry industry that made him the ideal candidate for the role; he is a respected diamond buyer and has traveled across the world attending trade shows to learn best practices," states the press release.

"I'm honored to be elected president of this respected organization," said Gutman. "I have a passion for the jewelry business and am eager to work with this year's talented board members to continue to curate unique, relevant programming and opportunities for our membership."

Presidential terms for the organization last for two years. The immediate past president of the association is Nelson Gotay, of Gotay's Jewelery in Jonesboro.
