Streaking Celtics turn back Kings, 128-119

BOSTON -- Avery Bradley scored 25 points, Isiah Thomas had 22 and the Boston Celtics held off the Sacramento Kings 128-119 on Sunday for their ninth win in 10 games.

Jared Sullinger matched his season high with 21 points and reserve Tyler Zeller had a season high 17 with seven rebounds for Boston, which committed a season-high 24 turnovers but shot 56 percent.

DeMarcus Cousins led Sacramento with 31 points. Marco Belinelli and Darren Collison each had 16 points. The Kings have lost seven of eight.

Nuggets 101, Knicks 96

NEW YORK -- Rookie Emmanuel Mudiay scored nine of his 15 points during a decisive fourth-quarter run, and Denver beat the fading Knicks.

Former Knicks forward Danilo Gallinari and Will Barton each had 19 points to lead the Nuggets, who won for the third time in four games. But it was Mudiay, who was just 2 for 12 through three quarters, who delivered nearly all the points during an 11-2 spurt that put the Nuggets in control after the game was tied at 86-all.

Kristaps Porzingis had 21 points and 13 rebounds for the Knicks, who have lost five in a row and nine of 10 since they were 22-22 and looking like a realistic playoff team.

Carmelo Anthony returned to face his former team after missing a game to rest his sore left knee, finishing with 21 points, seven assists and six rebounds.

Clippers 100, Heat 93

MIAMI -- Chris Paul had a game-high 22 points, Jamal Crawford added 20 off the bench and the Clippers beat the Heat.

J.J. Redick scored 14 points, Wesley Johnson had 10 and DeAndre Jordan and Cole Aldrich grabbed 11 rebounds each for the Clippers, who won despite missing 14 consecutive shots in the first quarter and swept the two-game season series with Miami.

Paul started 0 for 9, but made two three-pointers late to help seal it for the Clippers.

Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade and Goran Dragic all scored 17 points for Miami, which missed a chance to finish the day fourth in the Eastern Conference standings.

Magic 96, Hawks 94

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Nik Vucevic hit an 18-footer at the buzzer and the Magic beat the Hawks.

Elfrid Payton, who set up Vucevic's winning shot with an inbounds pass, scored or assisted the Magic's final six baskets as they won for only the third time in 18 games in 2016.

The Magic had gone scoreless since Payton's jump shot with 3:41 left, squandering a 94-86 lead.

Vucevic led Orlando with 22 points and nine rebounds and Evan Fournier, starting in place of the injured Tobias Harris, added 21 points. Payton had 12 points and 12 assists.

Jeff Teague scored 24 for the Hawks.

Warriors 116, Thunder 108

OAKLAND, Calif. -- Stephen Curry scored 26 points, Harrison Barnes added 19 and the Golden State Warriors won their 41st straight regular-season home game Saturday night.

Klay Thompson added 18 and the Warriors (46-4) won their ninth-straight game to match the 1966-67 Philadelphia 76ers for the best record ever after 50 games. Golden State moved within three wins of tying the Chicago Bulls (1995-96) for the longest home winning streak in NBA history.

Kevin Durant had 40 points and 14 rebounds and Russell Westbrook added 27 points and 12 assists for the Thunder, who had won five straight and 12 of 13.

Curry helped the Warriors break out to a 20-point lead in the second quarter on their way to another win against a top-notch team.

Blazers 96, Rockets 79

HOUSTON -- Damian Lillard had 21 points and 10 assists to lead a balanced scoring attack and the Trail Blazers built a big lead early and rolled to an easy win over the Rockets.

The Trail Blazers were up by 19 at halftime and scored the first six points of the third quarter to make it 61-36 with about 10 minutes left in the quarter.

James Harden made four quick points after that before the Trail Blazers used a 13-2 run -- with 3s from Lillard, C.J. McCollum and Al-Farouq Aminu -- to push the lead to 74-42. Harden led the Rockets with 33 points.

Cavaliers 99, Pelicans 94

CLEVELAND -- Kyrie Irving scored 29 points, LeBron James added 27 and the Cavaliers bounced back from two straight losses with a win over the Pelicans. Irving and James combined for 17 points in the fourth quarter as Cleveland improved to 6-3 since Tyronn Lue replaced David Blatt as head coach on Jan. 22.

Kevin Love was out with a bruised left thigh, but the Cavaliers went ahead early in the game and never gave up the lead despite a strong rally by New Orleans in the second half.

Norris Cole scored a career-high 26 points while Anthony Davis scored 24 points with 11 rebounds for New Orleans, which has lost four straight.

Spurs 106, Lakers 102

SAN ANTONIO -- LaMarcus Aldridge scored 26 points and the Spurs beat the Lakers to remain unbeaten at home.

Kawhi Leonard added 20 points and 13 rebounds to help the Spurs win their 28th-straight home game to open the season. The Spurs' 37th-straight home victory dating back to last season was surprisingly difficult.

Kobe Bryant scored 25 points in his final appearance in San Antonio. The Lakers (11-42) are 5-24 on the road this season, but one last hurrah for Bryant in San Antonio was what they needed to nearly upset the Spurs.

Bryant spent much of his career tormenting the Spurs and he did so again after a sluggish start. He finished 9 for 28 from the field, but was 7 for 18 in a dynamic second half that electrified a pro-Bryant crowd.

Mavericks 114,

Grizzlies 110, OT

MEMPHIS -- Chandler Parsons scored 26 points, including a pair of three-pointers in overtime, to lead the Mavericks to a victory over the Grizzlies.

Dirk Nowitzki's 21-foot jumper with 16.6 seconds left pushed the Dallas lead to 112-109, and the Mavericks held on to snap a three-game losing streak.

Deron Williams scored 22 points and Nowitzki finished with 18. Marc Gasol led Memphis with 22 points, while Zach Randolph had 20 points and 14 rebounds.

The teams were tied at 102 at the end of regulation. The Mavericks had the last shot with less than a second left, but failed to convert a lob at the rim to Justin Anderson.
