The Hot Springs of Arkansas Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution hosted the ASDAR Caddo District Flag Day meeting and luncheon at First Assembly of God Church in Hot Springs. Special guests included Arkansas State Regent Mary Love Deere and Arkansas State Regent-elect Jerrie Townsend. All 11 chapters between Bryant, Texarkana, Mena and Hot Springs, were represented with a total of 72 members.

District members brought their collection of letters for active military men and women. This project helped NSDAR's place in the Guinness World Records for Patriotism Members. DAR members collected letters or cards from around the country.

The contribution of 100,904 letters to military personnel in one month set the new world record.

Deere gave the last program of her tenure as Arkansas state regent. A special angel was given to her as a thank you for her service. The state regent's special project during her tenure was titled "Be An Angel Help a Vet." Contributions to this project provided funds for veterans who receive aid from the Arkansas Freedom Fund. Seven "Angel Voices" were provided as contribution to the project.

ASDAR Caddo District's new officers were installed by Deere.
