Storm response 'ridiculous'

Dear editor:

I'm writing about Entergy's response timing to Silver Street here in Hot Springs after Thursday's storm (July 14).

During Thursday's storm, a transformer went out on Silver Street, knocking out power from Mellersh to Nazarene Baptist Church. We called Entergy, no response. Second time, no response. What kind of response timing is this while we're sitting in our houses waiting with no power and no air, sweating and nearly suffering?

To someone who's in charge of emergency services, y'all need to get your response timing in order, because this is ridiculous. And it makes me feel ashamed to live in a city where this type of situation happens after a storm.

P.S. I've lived on Silver Street my whole life and this is the worst that I've ever seen. Because if Entergy would have responded to that blown out transformer in the first place, it wouldn't have come to this!
