Robert Walters, 23, has been identified as a person of interest in the same shooting. He is known to live in Jonesboro.

Shelton Kreshon Smith, 21, and Lyndsey Autumn Moore, 22, were arrested in connection with the shooting. Smith was the alleged driver and was charged with four counts of committing a terroristic act, a felony punishable by up to life in prison, and Moore, a passenger, was charged with public intoxication. They made initial appearances March 1 in Garland County District Court.

According to an affidavit, the shooting occurred after the four suspects left a local bar due to being disorderly toward staff members. One black male fled to nearby apartments in the Spring Street area after an officer responded to reports of shots being fired. Spent shell casings were located inside the front passenger seat of a Chrysler 300, and Smith and Moore were detained.

During questioning at the police department, Smith reportedly said he and Moore were at a local bar with two black males when Smith got into an argument with a staff member. The group left and Smith, the driver, was told by one of the black males, "You ride for me and I'll ride for you." Smith said the male pulled a gun out and started shooting at several structures through the window before they were stopped by police.
