Computer Club slates events

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE -- The Computer Club of Hot Springs Village will hold a class on the basics for Android phones and tablets from 1-4 p.m. Wednesday in the Coronado Community Center's Room 5, 150 Ponderosa Way. The cost is $12 for club members, and $20 for nonmembers.

Interested parties can register for the class online by visiting http://www.cchsv.org, clicking on "Register Here," then "Classes."

A free drop-in help session will be offered beginning at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Village Church of Christ, 210 Balboa Road. Attendees may bring any and all computer-related questions.

Waypoint now sells live bait for anglers

Live bait, including crickets, worms and minnows, is now available for purchase at Waypoint at DeSoto Marina, 120 Marina Road.

Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Firearms qualifications offered to retired officers

The Hot Springs Village Police Department will host a retired officer firearms qualification session from 8 a.m. to noon April 14 at the Mountain Valley Sportsman's Association range, 320 Ten Mile Road, Hot Springs.

The HSV Police Department provides this service to all retired law enforcement officers living in the immediate area who qualify under Federal Law HR218. This allows the retired officers to qualify with the local police department where they reside, in lieu of traveling to their agency of retirement for firearms qualification.

The Hot Springs Village Property Owners' Association announces the opening of Elan's at Granada Golf Club. Staff at the restaurant is ready to serve breakfast, lunch and dinner to Village members and guests.
