New Beginnings CM to hold revival

New Beginnings Christian Ministries, 323 E. Grand Ave., will hold its Encountering God Revival Wednesday through June 5. Prophetess Gloria Fite, of All Nations Worship Ministries, Radcliff, Ky., will speak at 7 p.m. Wednesday through Friday. At 9 a.m. Saturday, speakers will be Renee Esannason, of Powder Springs, Ga., Caroly Gamble, of Fordyce, and Kumiko Durggins, of Doraville, Ga. Minister Angela Hendrix, of Radcliff, will speak at 11 a.m. Sunday.

Red Oak MBC to hold Vacation Bible School

Red Oak Missionary Baptist Church, 2791 Highway 290, will hold a Vacation Bible School from 6-8:45 p.m. June 5-10. The theme is "The Conquerors: Dr. Vanguard's Voyages." Confirmation, communion at Reformed Episcopal

The Most Rev. Royal Grote, presiding bishop of the Reformed Episcopal Church, will preside over the confirmation of Todd and Jennifer Orr and Micah and Natalie Mattson at 5:30 p.m. today at Christ Anglican Church, 504 Trivista Left. GEMBC to hear Wilson, hold 'Hat Extravaganza'

Greater Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, 401 Lacey St., will hear first lady Antonia L. Wilson speak on "The Power of Prayer" at 11 a.m. Sunday. At 3 p.m., the church will hold a "Hat Extravaganza" program with the Rev. Joe Lightfoot Jr., assistant pastor of Greater New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Kankakee, Ill., speaking. Men and women will model hats and a People's Choice Award will be given. To model, call Sister Minnie Lightfoot, 625-0916. Tickets are $5 to be a model.

Faith UMC to celebrate Memorial Day weekend

Faith United Methodist Church, 321 Nash St., will celebrate Memorial Day weekend Sunday. Pastor Wanda Murray will speak on "A Time to Remember" at 11 a.m. Sunday. The choir will provide special music. At 4:30 p.m., Faith church will host a fifth Sunday gathering with Haven and Morning Star United Methodist churches, with singing and a message by the Rev. Glan Gaboury. Faith Women Renewed will provide a light meal following the worship service. All are welcome.
