"The remodel is complete, and it's time to celebrate! We're hosting Swanky's Shopping Soiree on Friday, Dec. 2, from 4 to 6 p.m. I'd like to invite all of our customers, friends and family to come by for great discounts, free gift wrap, light hors d'oeuvres and a glass of champagne," said Jamie Scott, owner, Just Swanky Consignment Boutique, in the press release.
Just Swanky will close early on Friday to allow staff to set up for the event. "We will be closing at 3 p.m. to get ready for the Shopping Soiree. There will be banquet tables full of jewelry, handbags and all kinds of accessories -- scarves, wallets, belts, sunglasses -- perfect for Christmas gift giving," said Scott.
"We're offering special discounts throughout the event, so you can buy one for your girlfriends, sister, aunt, mom, grandmother or best friend, and treat yourself to a little something, too," said Scott. From 4-5 p.m., take $2 off all accessories (scarves, wallets, belts and sunglasses); from 5-5:30 p.m., take $2 off all handbags; from 5:30-6 p.m., take $2 off all jewelry. No other discounts apply during Swanky's Shopping Soiree.
Just Swanky will offer free gift wrapping for items bought onsite during the event. "Free gift wrap is available, too, so you can get all your gifts ready for under the tree. Don't forget to bring your naughty and nice lists, because we have something for everyone! We want to be your first and last Christmas gift destination," said Scott.
"I'm excited about the end of the remodel, and the beginning of a new Swanky. So much has changed! The wall came down in August, and the new dressing rooms were built in September. We've painted the walls and floor as well. It's a whole new store," said Scott.
Just Swanky Consignment Boutique is located at 340 Ouachita Ave. at Orange Street in the Ouachita Avenue Historic District. Hours of operation are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Extended holiday hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, through the New Year. "We have retail looks for resale prices, so shop us first, and shop us often," said Scott, "because whoever said, 'Less is more,' never shopped at Swanky!"
