Emergency personnel work the scene of a three-vehicle collision in the 4900 block of Malvern Road Thursday morning. Arkansas State Police Cpl. Kevin Steed said Marqueshia Hughes, 23, of Malvern, was westbound in a 2008 Nissan when she lost control in a curve on the wet roadway and crossed the centerline. She struck a trailer being pulled by Russell Schultz, 56, of Malvern, and then struck a 1999 Buick LeSabre, driven by Jamie Sawyer, 45, of Malvern. LifeNet transported Hughes to National Park Medical Center and Sawyer to CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs, Steed said, noting Hughes was cited for careless and prohibited driving and driving on a suspended license.
