An Old-time Gospel Singing program will be held at 6:30 p.m. today at Pullman Heights United Methodist Church, 200 Pullman Ave. The program will begin with a piano medley prelude by Jay Campbell, church pianist, and Pastor Ron Grigsby on guitar. The prelude will end with Peggy Barnett and Buddy Midkiff joining Campbell in singing "Jesus and Me."

A feature of the sing will be a magic show presented by Adrian Steelman, a 13-year-old Lakeside Junior High student who recently won the Garland County Fair youth talent contest and one at Lakeside Schools. He plays the trombone in the Lakeside band, and is expected to present musical specials and magic.

One of the highlights of the evening will be the Park Place Baptist Church's youth choir, which will present several numbers during the program. The youths include Dyllan Smith, Stacia Smith, D.J. Byers, Caitlyn Johnson, Jude Sample, Bella Johnson, Memory Smith, Jayden Loveless and Calleigh Johnson. The choir is under the direction of Barbara and Mitch Tipton. June Batterton and Buddy Midkiff will sing/perform the "Heaven is Really Gonna Shine." Mighty Believers in Christ (the Tiptons and Thelma Harper) will present numbers, as will Midkiff, Carole Beam, Barnett, Grigsby and other regular singers.

Congregational singing will be a part of the program. Everyone is welcome. There is no admission charge and no offering plates will be passed.
