CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs will host the In The Pink luncheon from noon to 2 p.m. Oct. 14 at Horner Hall in the Hot Springs Convention Center.
The event will include a fashion show featuring cancer survivors, a silent auction and a presentation from Merideth Sanders, MS, CGC, a regional medical specialist at Preventive Care Myriad Genetic Laboratories.
Proceeds from the luncheon will be used to provide wigs, camisoles, bras and other needed items for breast cancer patients.
"We are thrilled to be hosting the In The Pink luncheon," Marsha Oliver, MNSc, RN, of Women's Services at CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs, said in a news release. "Not only will we be aiding current breast cancer patients, we will be educating on the importance of early testing."
Sanders will speak on the importance and role of genetics in breast cancer.
"Merideth Sanders has an immense wealth of knowledge and we are honored she will be speaking and joining us at the event," Oliver said. "In addition to being educational and charitable, this will be a fun event."
