The 22nd Norma Lampert Memorial Lupus Springers 5k and walk, benefiting Lupus Foundation of Arkansas Inc., is scheduled Saturday, May 20 at 8 a.m. at Mid-America Park, 101 College Dr., in Hot Springs.
The 5k race offers trophies to walkers, runners and wheelchair participants. The Walk to End Lupus is recreational, for walkers only, with no trophies offered.
Entry fee is $25 before May 18 and $30 afterward, with $2.50 extra for a commemorative T-shirt exceeding size X-large.

Local church plans basketball program
Saturday's community fellowship at Unity Church of God in Christ, 200 Gardner St., includes registration for a basketball program.
Volunteer coaches are welcome and parents are needed as chaperones. The fellowship event is free and lasts from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. including an Easter egg hunt and hot dogs and soft drinks.
