Why drive to Branson?

Dear editor:

Most of the letters to the editor are either about politics or religion, or one person trying to get the other person to think like him or her! Well this letter is going to be quite a change of pace!

Last night, April 8, my wife and myself treated ourselves to a night out on the town! We went to The Five Star Dinner Theatre here in Hot Springs, which we do on a fairly regular basis. We went to dinner, which was as good or better than any other place you could go out and eat! Then we stayed for the show, "Murder at Howard Johnson's." It was a riot -- the people in the audience were in stitches! The food is always top-notch and the entertainment is equal to any you can see in Branson, Mo. The only difference is there is not 30 or more theaters here in Hot Springs.

There is another entertainer that we have attended here in Hot Springs, the Maxwell Blade Show, on rare occasions, and he puts on a very good show also!

My point is why drive to Branson or somewhere else to treat yourself or your company at a very high cost when we have this type of entertainment and food right here in town.

We are very lucky to have this type entertainment or relaxation and fabulous food right here in Hot Springs! The cost is not outlandish, it is about the price of going out to a nice restaurant and a movie.

Mr. Wilkins has spent 31 years entertaining folks in his Hot Springs theater location. Do yourself a favor and support this jewel of an opportunity.
