Vegetarian Club topic on autoimmune diseases

Dr. Dan Martin, from the Northfield Acupuncture and Alternative Medicine Clinic in Texarkana, will return to Vegetarian Supper Club at 6:30 p.m. Monday to offer a presentation on autoimmune diseases. This presentation was rescheduled from April. He will discuss what can be done to avoid these diseases and what can be done to cure them. His presentation will include a question and answer period.

Martin, who is a doctor of Oriental medicine, is known for his caring, down-to-earth personal touch with his patients, often visiting with them as they receive treatment. His patients come from all over the nation. He has served as president of the Arkansas Association of Oriental Medicine for the past five years. As an author, teacher and doctor, he lobbies for the people's right to choose their own health care.

The supper club meets in the fellowship hall of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 401 Weston Road. Attendees may bring a vegetarian dish with the recipe and a self-addressed envelope to receive the recipe collection for the evening. For information, call 760-1750.
