Brown attended the Johnson Advanced Ecology Camp for third-year advanced campers near Clinton, where she canoed the Buffalo River and studied stalagmites, stalactites and helicites on a wild cave tour. Smith attended the Halberg Ecology Camp at Camp Clearfork in Royal to study herpetology, ornithology, botany, aquatic biology and other disciplines.
