Lakeside, Troy to face off in semifinals

PINE BLUFF -- Tatum Rice tallied 36 points, 24 of which came from behind the arc, as the Lakeside Lady Rams took a 72-50 win over the Camden Fairview Lady Cardinals Tuesday night at Watson Chapel Fieldhouse.

Ashton Patrick added 18 points for the Lady Rams, Lexi Tejcek had 14 with 10 rebounds and Thea Rice dished out 11 assists. Kynzi Morgan paced the Lady Cardinals with 16 points.

After taking a 22-8 lead in the opening quarter, the Lady Rams struggled in the second as the Lady Cardinals recovered for a 27-14 Lakeside lead at the break. The Lady Rams put up 20 in the third before adding 25 in the fourth while giving up 36 in the second half.

Lakeside (20-7) will face the Hot Springs Lady Trojans Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Watson Chapel. Hot Springs won both matchups between the two teams in the regular season.

* Keke Hunter picked up 22 to lead the Hot Springs Lady Trojans to a 55-20 win over the White Hall Lady Bulldogs in the 5A-South tournament at Watson Chapel Fieldhouse Monday.

Imani Hunter added 12 for Troy, and Kiah Beauford had nine.

Hot Springs (21-6) took a 29-13 lead in the first half before adding 24 and allowed seven to secure the win.

The Lady Trojans will face Lakeside Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

Reddies take win

at Rattler Invite

SAN ANTONIO -- Sophomore golfer Cameron McRae from Hot Springs carded a 146-shot, 2-over par to lead the Henderson State Reddies to a win at the Rattler Invitational in San Antonio.

The Reddies, ranked No. 50, turned in a 36-hole total of 582, 6-over par to win the two-day, 16-team event by four shots over second place Texas A&M-Commerce.

Western New Mexico finished in third-place with a 588 team total, followed by Northeastern State (598), with No. 18 Central Oklahoma and No. 36 St. Edwards tying for fifth-place (601). Great American Conference opponent Southwestern Oklahoma, ranked 30th, finished in seventh-place with a final score of 603.

McRae's finish left him tied for 11th, while HSU's Kevin Boutier, a sophomore from Montrouge, France, who participated as an individual, finished fourth with a card of 145.

Henderson will next participate in the Dave Faulkner Invitational on March 13--14 at the Chamberlyn Golf Club in Russellville.
