'Thanks' to West Shores

Dear editor:

We start this letter with regrets that we have not written it sooner. We want our community and all of your readers to know about one of the jewels in our city and area. That jewel is the West Shores Senior Living Community.

It has been said that great teams and great corporations are led by great leaders. Ms. Nina Alter leads a team of dedicated, committed and caring employees. They are each a true blessing to those they serve.

When we chose West Shores as a home for our mother, we felt confident that we had chosen a place where she would be comfortable, nurtured and made to feel special.

During the last 15 months, we have had the pleasure of visiting West Shores many, many times and we have been impressed with the professionalism, friendliness and welcoming spirit of the staff. We enjoy hearing the "smiles" in their voices and watching the way they interact with the residents. Each and every staff member, from the kitchen staff, nursing staff, housekeeping staff, maintenance staff to the administrative staff, shows pride in what they do for the residents and guests. You can tell it's a family atmosphere.

We recently became aware that West Shores earned the honor of being selected as one of the top 10 retirement communities in the state of Arkansas and in the top 1 percent nationwide. Congratulations to each and every member of Ms. Nina's "A" team. They are very deserving.

Thank you, West Shores, for being a shining light in our community and for the care and love you provide to our senior adults.

Sincerely,

Gina and Allen Bass
