The Hot Springs Farmers & Artisans Market, 121 Orange St., recently honored the outgoing market manager, Danny Chote, right, of Native Arkansas Wood Works in Arkadelphia, for his years of service as manager. Outgoing President Doc Cline, left, of Doc's Knife Sharpening Service, presented Chote with a certificate of appreciation on behalf of all vendors, patrons and friends of the farmers market. "We couldn't have done it without Danny. He was here early every day to open up the market, and stayed late to close it up," said Cline. The Farmers Market Board of Directors election will be held at the end of November. The farmers market is open all year, with winter hours from 9 a.m. to noon every Saturday from November to February, and summer hours from 7 a.m. to noon Saturdays and 4-7 p.m. Tuesdays from March to October.
