'Don't bother us' attitude

To the Hot Springs School District:

I placed a call to the superintendent's office on Oct. 31, 2017, regarding a safety and ADA access issue. The superintendent's office would not take my call as Mr. Loyd Jackson is in charge of maintenance and security. I left a voicemail that day for him and it is now one week and no return call.

Is this considered acceptable to the school board and to the public who pays, not just their salary, but also upkeep.

I do believe that the taxpayers are on the hook for the extra millage because maintenance was in dire need of funds. Not only is the administration building challenging for one who is mobility limited, but the area outside of it is also an accident waiting to happen. And it did.

Does one have to be "an important" citizen to be able to speak to school administration? Under the leadership of Dr. Hernandez, this would be unacceptable, now the new administration has a "don't bother us" attitude. I find that totally unacceptable and resent the extra tax money going to this district.

Since the school administration won't answer phone calls, this is the only way I have of communicating with them. Is this an acceptable, responsible and professional way for the administration to handle citizen concerns?
