Michael Davidson, of Hot Springs, set two new records in the 80--84 men's division at the Arkansas Senior Olympics track meet in Jessieville. Davidson finished the 1500-meter race walk with a time of 10:27, breaking the record of 11:05 set in 2002, and he finished the 5K race walk in 37:10, breaking the 1997 record time of 38:58. Hot Springs-based Senior Arkansas Sports Organization conducts the games each fall at a number of Garland County venues.
