St. John's Catholic School's Destination Imagination team won first place in its division at the state competition on April 7. The team also won the only Renaissance Award given at the tournament recognizing those who demonstrate extraordinary amounts of effort and preparation in their solutions or outstanding skill in engineering, design or performance. The team will travel to Knoxville, Tenn., for Global Finals May 23-26, marking the school's fourth appearance at the event.
