Barber - Ratcliff

Grayson Merrell Barber, of Fayetteville, and Emily Ann Ratcliff, of Hot Springs, were married in a 4:30 p.m. ceremony March 3 at First Baptist Church, Hot Springs, with Stephen Crosson officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mike and Michelle Ratcliff, of Hot Springs; and granddaughter of Charles and Carol Stepp, of Pineville, La., Clyde and Gail Ratcliff, of Hot Springs, and the late Myra Ratcliff. The bridegroom is the son of Drs. Jeff and Laurie Barber, of Little Rock; and grandson of Connie Gray, of Lady Lake, Fla., Liston and Alice Barber, of Martin's Mill, Texas, and the late Dr. Lawrence Gray and Martha Gray.

The altar was decorated with two large fresh arrangements on pedestals with cream and white flowers, including hydrangea, gladiolus, larkspur, snapdragons, tulips, roses and assorted greenery. A handmade cherry and walnut table made by the bridegroom served as the communion table for the ceremony.

Music was presented by vocalist and violinist Daniel McFarland and guitarist Zach Roberts.

Henry Barker, Nathan Dostart, Andrew Arnold and Taylor Burkhalter served as ushers.

The bride, escorted by her father, wore a trumpet-style gown featuring intricate Spanish lace, tulle and satin with an illusion neckline, caviar beading over the entire dress, and a bodice that blended into the skin creating a tattoo effect. The back was a deep V, edged in lace, and fitted to the waist with a satin sash, leading to a skirt ending in a sweeping train. The look was complimented with a sheer cascade of delicate tulle in an ivory chapel length train. She carried a clutch bouquet in shades of cream and white flowers, including hydrangea, garden roses, stock, tulips, pavafolia, seeded eucalyptus, silver dollar eucalyptus and assorted greenery, tied with cream sheer ribbon.

Megan Ratcliff, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mallori Roberts, Allie Brasuell, Ashlyn Johnson, Amy Moorehead, Katie Shepherd, Ally Renner, Sydney Arend, Hanna Dean, Allison Drobena, Schyler Winston, Abby Cloninger and Abby Jordan.

First Lt. Liston Robert Barber, brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Jack Gresham, Lewis Hall, Will Parham, Colt Oade, Drew Toland, Bryant Penzo, Shane Braden, John Allen Riggins, Calvin Godwin, Chris Johnson and Quinn Gasaway. Honorary groomsman was Aaron Hughes.

Kate Dalby, cousin of the bride, served as flower girl; and David Forester, cousin of the bride, served as ring bearer.

Ellen Barber, sister of the bridegroom, and Alex Barber, sister-in-law of the bridegroom, served as the house party.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at The Hamp Williams Building.

After a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple resides in Fayetteville. The bride works as an occupational therapist with No Limits Pediatric Therapies in Bentonville and the bridegroom works as a manufacturing engineer with Maynard Inc. in Johnson.
