Local men reportedly shot multiple times at apartment

Hot Springs police were searching for a motive and a suspect on Sunday after two men were found with multiple gunshot wounds at an apartment on Henry Street Saturday night.

Police who responded to a reported shooting at 407 Henry St. at 10:47 p.m. Saturday found Tedrick Trammell Hardwell, 30, and Quintor Nelson, 21, both of Hot Springs, inside Apartment 7, Hot Springs police said Sunday in a news release. Both men were transported to an area hospital by LifeNet.

Hardwell suffered wounds to his torso, while Nelson was reportedly found with wounds to his legs, the release said.

Hot Springs police Cpl. Kirk Zaner initially said he was unable to comment on the victims' conditions, but later stated that Hardwell underwent surgery earlier Sunday morning.

According to the release, the identity of the suspect was unknown, and was only described as a male wearing all black, with a hoodie and a red bandanna covering his face.

Zaner told the newspaper Sunday that the motive is still unknown and the investigation is ongoing. No arrests had been made as of presstime Sunday night.
