A send-off party was held for 2018 Mrs. Arkansas America Julie Pasquinzo on Aug. 4 at the home of Dixie and Mark Stevens. Pasquinzo will leave Aug. 17 for the Mrs. America competition in Las Vegas on Aug. 25. If she does not win, she will then return home to Arkansas and complete her reign and crown the next Mrs. Arkansas on Nov. 10 at the Hot Springs Convention Center. The pageant seeks area and state representatives, according to pageant spokesperson Lynn DeJarnette. Eligible pageant applicants should be married, U.S. citizens, a resident of Arkansas and at least 18 years of age.
