National Park College's men's basketball team earned a 30-point home victory on Thursday in the Nighthawks' first home game in more than three weeks.

The 102-72 victory over Williams Baptist's junior varsity team gave the Nighthawks their sixth straight win to start the season. They never trailed after building a double-digit lead early in the game.

The Nighthawks notched their fifth win of the season on Monday, 90-80, against East Texas Baptist's developmental team in Marshall, Texas.

The Tigers scored the opening basket, but the Nighthawks scored the next 16 points. The lead grew to as much as 21 points in the first five minutes.

A dozen different players scored for the visitors in the first half. Steen capped the half with a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give National Park College a 50-36 lead at the break.

An 11-2 run by the Tigers shrunk the lead to just five points early in the second half. The Nighthawks answered to build the lead to more than 20 points on two more occasions.
