BREAKING NEWS: Body found in vacant lot

Phyllis Schneider, 87, affectionately known as Miss Phyllis, of Hot Springs, Ark., passed away Jan. 7, 2018. She was born Oct. 29, 1930, in Wet Glaize, Mo., to Ernest and Gladys Ledford.

Phyllis loved to camp at Grand Lake and was well known to spoil her family in every way possible. Country and big band music could be heard in the background while she read her favorite books.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, LeRoy Schneider; and son, Eric Schneider.

Survivors include daughter, Marlene Davis, and partner, Pamela Meyer, of Hot Springs; sisters, Katherine Stripling, of Texas, and Nancy Farris (Ronnie), of Kansas; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and her beloved cat, Misha. Special mention, Aja Guinn and Amyah Tollette, whom she considered family.
