Smith spurs swimming Wolves at Bryant meet

BRYANT -- Sophomore Noah Smith took first place in two competitions for the Lake Hamilton High School swim team during the recent Bryant Invitational.

Smith placed first in the 50-meter freestyle with a time of 0:23.18. He won first place in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:12.97.

The times qualified Smith to compete in both events at the state meet in Bentonville on Feb. 23-24. He previously qualified for state for the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 0:52.48, as well as the 200-meter freestyle at 1:56.42. Smith met the qualifying times for the 100- and 200-meter events during the Arkadelphia Invite on Dec. 8.

Senior Lucas Amerson took third place in the 100-meter breaststroke and fourth place in the 200-meter individual medley.

Hunter Speas, a junior, finished fourth in the 200-meter freestyle.

Sophomore Kannyn Wasson placed ninth in the 100-meter freestyle and 100-breaststroke events.
