Magic Springs joins World's Largest Swimming Lesson Thursday

Magic Springs Theme and Water Park will open early on Thursday to participate in the World's Largest Swimming Lesson.

From 10:30-11 a.m., guests will join the park's certified lifeguards for a swimming lesson to build awareness about the importance of teaching children to swim to prevent drowning.

"Magic Springs is dedicated to having fun while staying safe," said Jack Bateman, Magic Springs' general manager. "Participating in the World's Largest Swimming Lesson is the perfect way for our guests to enjoy a day at the park and raise awareness for this important cause."

Crystal Cove will open early for this exclusive event. The rest of the park will operate with normal hours. Guests at Magic Springs can participate for free with the purchase of a daily admission ticket or a season pass.

Local WLSL events will take place at hundreds of locations, like Magic Springs, in more than 20 countries on five continents over the course of 24 hours, according to the WLSL website.

Magic Springs Theme and Water Park is now open daily through Aug. 12. Visit http://www.magicsprings.com for a calendar of days of operation and hours, or http://www.wlsl.org for more information about this event.
