Carry the Load representative Steve Hansley, left, of LaCrosse, Wis., and Hot Springs Assistant Police Chief Chris Chapmond lead the Carry the Load East Coast leg relay team through Hot Springs Wednesday morning. The walk, which also has a West Coast leg and will end in Dallas on Memorial Day, honors those who have sacrificed their lives serving in the military, law enforcement, fire departments and first responders and their families. Wednesday's march culminated with a rally at La Quinta Inns & Suites, 4253 Central Ave.
