NPPC to meet Tuesday

The National Park Photography Club will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Garland County Library on Malvern Avenue.

The October meeting will feature a presentation entitled "Travel Photography: How to Best Capture your Travel Adventure." The presenter will be William Weyandt, a noted travel photographer living in Hot Springs Village who has captured beautiful images all over the world.

"One of the goals of the National Park Photography Club is to give all of our members the tools they need to improve their photographic skills. This month's lesson is a continuation of this ongoing educational process as well as an opportunity to learn photographic techniques for travel photography. If you like to travel, this is the session for you," a news release said.

Another goal of the National Park Photography Club is to organize and participate in field trips that are designed to give members an opportunity to sharpen their photographic skills in a number of different environments. In the last 30 days, the club has participated in a field trip to the Arkansas Railroad Museum in Pine Bluff that was organized by the Arkansas Outdoors Photography Club of Little Rock as well as a martial arts photo shoot at the Hot Springs Professional Black Belt Academy.

Cub judging in October will be submitted for the Gulf States Camera Club Counsel (GSCCC) January contest, which is Pictorial Digital Color and Monochrome and PJ Digital (mixed) and PJ Prints (mixed). Members may make up to four submissions in each category.

NPPC welcomes new members who are interested in expanding their photography skills in a collegial and supportive environment. A one-year membership to NPPC is $20.
