An Adona woman was arrested on a felony charge involving a stolen vehicle after the vehicle's owner reportedly blocked her and another suspect from leaving Wednesday afternoon.

Kimberly Sue West, 24, was taken into custody around 2:30 p.m. in the 200 block of Brunswick Drive, located off the 4300 block of Airport Road, and charged with theft by receiving over $5,000, punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

West remained in custody Thursday in lieu of $3,500 bond and is set to appear today in Garland County District Court.

According to the probable cause affidavit, on Wednesday, a woman filed a report with Hot Springs police alleging her 2007 Chevrolet Suburban, valued at $13,325, was stolen Tuesday from the 600 block of West Grand Avenue by her ex-husband.

On Wednesday, the woman contacted Garland County sheriff's Lt. Joel Ware and stated she had just seen her vehicle go past her residence on Brunswick Drive and that she was able to block the vehicle in and force the driver to pull into her driveway.

The woman contacted Ware again via FaceTime and Ware was reportedly able to identify the driver as a known suspect, 31, but it was not her ex-husband. The driver fled on foot into the woods before Ware could get to the scene.

The passenger in the vehicle, identified as West, was apprehended and taken into custody and the affidavit notes a gray "PINK" hoodie worn by West was determined to belong to the owner of the vehicle.

The driver was not located as of Thursday, but the incident is still under investigation.
