Owner of Guru Skin Care Studio, Kristin Akins, is a "professional, passionate and dedicated aesthetician" with 17 years of experience in the beauty industry. She acquired her aesthetic license in Nashville, Tenn., and has received certifications in medical esthetics, manual lymph drainage and PCA peels. She obtained more than 100 hours of post-graduate training from the International Dermal Institute in Chicago. Akins was one of the first skin therapists in Illinois to achieve Dermalogica Expert status in 2013.
