Elks Lodge 380 will host the Arkansas Elks State Hoop Shoot finals at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Hot Springs Intermediate School, 701 Main St.
Boys and girls 8-13 years old who have already won at their local lodges throughout Arkansas will compete for the opportunity to progress to the regional finals in Paducah, Ken., then to the national finals in Chicago.
The Elks Lodge has sponsored the Hoop Shoot for more than 45 years. The public is welcome to come and cheer local competitors on to victory. Admission is free.
