Earth Angel

Why recycle? It's good for the environment. Recycling helps to convert old products into useful new products, and conserves resources. Recycling sends less trash to the landfill.

It reduces air and water pollution. For example, manufacturers who use recycled paper cut air pollution by 73 percent and water pollution by 35 percent.

It saves energy. Products being recycled usually require much less processing to convert them into usable materials. It also saves the energy required to harvest and process virgin materials, instead.

Start the New Year by joining the Earth Angel Recycling Program; just contact the Solid Waste Department at 321-6911.
