Bee Hive Restaurant chefs Ben Dodson, standing, and Drake Bielert, seated, visited Mountain Pine School District and gave a cooking demonstration in teacher Leslie Faulkner's Community Based Instruction, or CBI, classroom, where students receiving special education services and learn life skills. CBI is a strategy or instructional method that promotes the teaching and use of academic and functional skills in the student's natural environment. Students enjoyed making a salad and a personal pizza, as well as meeting both chefs.
