A Pearcy teen who allegedly broke into multiple vehicles and took two for a joy ride earlier this week was arrested Wednesday after he was identified through security video photos posted on social media.

Terrance William Homan II, 18, who lists a South Moore Road address, was taken into custody around 5 p.m. after voluntarily coming in for questioning and charged with one count of theft of property over $5,000, punishable by up to 10 years in prison, two counts of breaking or entering and one count of theft of property over $1,000, each punishable by up to six years, and three misdemeanor counts of attempted breaking or entering, punishable by up to one year in jail.

Homan remained in custody Thursday in lieu of a $14,000 bond and is set to appear today in Garland County District Court.

"We want to thank the public for their help in this," Garland County sheriff's Deputy Courtney Kizer, the department's public information officer, said Thursday.

According to the probable cause affidavit, on Tuesday a report of break-ins and thefts was filed with the sheriff's department involving multiple victims in the Woodland Shores area of Royal.

One man, 42, told investigators his black 2019 Ford F-250 pickup truck and his wife's 2012 black Infiniti, both located in the 300 block of Woodland Shores, were broken into.

Investigators obtained video from a neighboring residence that showed a male with curly brown or reddish hair wearing dark clothing with a bandanna over his mouth and nose going through three vehicles, including two trucks and a Jeep, located at that residence. He attempted to open the doors of the vehicles and the tailgate of one truck.

Still photos captured from the video were posted on the department's Facebook page and shared on other social media. A tip was called in reportedly identifying the suspect as Homan, who was later positively identified by his juvenile probation officer.

Homan's stepmother called the sheriff's department and stated Homan was at her residence. Investigator Don Yoak and Deputy John Youngblood went to her residence and asked Homan if he would be willing to come in for an interview and he agreed.

After being read his rights, Homan was questioned and reportedly stated that Monday evening he had taken four Xanax pills and left his mother's residence on Williams Street in Royal. He said he "got bored" so he grabbed his gloves and bandanna and went to "find out what this neighborhood had to offer."

He said he walked through the neighborhood and found several unlocked cars in the 300 block of Woodland Shores that he entered and looked through trying to find something to steal. He said he then continued to Quaker Lane and found an unlocked gray 2004 Honda Accord with the keys in the ignition.

He said he stole the car and drove it around until the driver's side tire went flat in the 1000 block of Sunshine Road so he abandoned it. He then found a gray 2013 Honda CRV that was unlocked with the keys in it so he stole it and drove around, finally parking it in the 100 block of Woodland Shores. He then walked back to his mother's and went to bed.

The Honda Accord, valued at $3,300, and the Honda CRV, valued at $12,000, were both later recovered by sheriff's deputies and investigators and returned to their owners.
