A traffic stop on a man driving the wrong way down a one-way street late Friday led to his arrest on felony and misdemeanor drug charges.

Vonjarius Donzell Anderson, 25, who lists an Adcock Road address, was taken into custody shortly after 10:30 p.m. and charged with a felony counts of possession of a controlled substance, ecstasy, punishable by up to 10 years in prison, and a misdemeanor count of possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, punishable by up to one year in jail.

Anderson was later released on a $4,500 bond and is set to appear Oct. 22 in Garland County District Court.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Hot Springs police Sgt. Allen Constant stopped a silver Chevrolet Camaro for traveling the wrong way on Pratt Street, a one-way street. He made contact with the driver, identified as Anderson, who had a warrant for failure to appear out of the Garland County Sheriff's Department.

Anderson was taken into custody on the warrant and while inventorying the vehicle, Constant reportedly found two plastic bags stuffed into the air conditioning vent. One bag contained marijuana and the second bag had 53 pills that tested positive for MDMA or ecstasy.

• A sex offender who is reportedly homeless was arrested Sunday morning on a felony warrant for failing to comply with sex offender registration and reporting requirements.

Jason Bradley Davis, 42, who lists "city streets" as his address, was taken into custody shortly before 11 a.m. at Transportation Depot, 100 Broadway Terrace, on the felony charge, punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

Davis was being held on a $3,500 bond and was set to appear Monday in district court.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Davis is a level 2 registered sex offender who came to the police department on July 23 and verified his residence information and signed paperwork agreeing to return on Aug. 23 to verify his information again.

Davis reportedly failed to return on Aug. 23 and as of Oct. 2 had still not returned to the department as required so a warrant was issued for his arrest.

According to court records, Davis pleaded guilty on Aug. 12, 2013, in Franklin County to failure to register as a sex offender and was sentenced to four years in prison with the sentence suspended. He had previously pleaded guilty on May 22, 2009, to the same charge in Sebastian County and was sentenced to three years in prison with the sentence suspended.

He was originally convicted on Jan. 17, 2003, of a felony count of sexual indecency with a child and a misdemeanor count of fourth-degree sexual assault in Crawford County and sentenced to two years' probation.
