The 2021 Hot Springs Polar Plunge was held Saturday morning at Hot Springs Health & Fitness.

This was the 13th year that the event has been held to raise money for Special Olympics. Plunge Director Kay Ekey said that 55 people participated this year, and about another 30 participated virtually. Between all participants, $7,001 was raised.

Award winners were Lake Hamilton for the Cool School Award, Hot Springs Police Department SWAT for Team Best Costume, Layel Furgerson for Individual Best Costume, HSPD SWAT for most money raised by a team, $1,760, and Jesus Anaya for most money raised by an individual, $1,000.
