Hot Springs Jazz Society recently participated in the annual Christmas Parade for the first time in many years.

"It took several volunteers and contributors to make the Jazz Society's participation possible and the Society would like to thank the following contributors for their support," the Society said in a news release. "Thank you to Dona Pettey, owner of The Ohio Club, for sponsoring the Jazz Society's float. Thanks also goes to Jeffrey Estright and his welding class at National Park College for building a 7-foot metal treble clef to use on the parade float. The clef was excellently crafted and will continue to contribute to Society endeavors for years to come."

Without the contributions from Pettey and Estright, "the Society would not have been able to contribute a float in the parade," the release said. "The Jazz Society would also like to thank everyone who has supported the organization this year and wish all of Hot Springs a very Merry Christmas and a Jazzy New Year."
